I'm back to looking like everyone else
Back in the country of real toilet doors.
Back in the country of expensive food.
Back in the country of strong coffee.
Back in the country of silence.
Back in the country of Pressbyrån.
Back in the country of double layer toilet paper.
Back in the country of tall blonds and blueeyed people that all dress according to latest fashion.
Back in the country of green woods and open space.
Back in the country of expensive food.
Back in the country of strong coffee.
Back in the country of silence.
Back in the country of Pressbyrån.
Back in the country of double layer toilet paper.

Homesick
Enjoying myself in Atlanta, Georgia, but is starting to miss Scandinavia. At least friends that understand the importance of a good cup of coffee and doesn't ask where you're from.
"I'm from Sweden, yes, I have an accent, yes I speak English well, yes, I from Gothenburg, oh, it's on the West Coast, no, other side from Stockholm, only danced for 3 months, no only Lindy Hop, no, don't dance there, I live in Copenhagen, yes in Denmark, oh, Medschool, finish next year, have no idea what I'm going to specialize in, yeah our healthcare is pretty decent..." Blablabla....
I'm staying at F.G's house, with Caroline and Sara. Really sweet girls, but the conversation is soon to kill me. I now know all about Caroline's scary ex-boyfriends and Sara's last-minute-packing at the airport, or her potential flu, that might just be allergies... They are really cute, but I'm missing real friends and real conversations. And I've realised the Jantelov/Jantelagen doesn't apply here. Sort of difficult adjusting to people telling you what they do good, all the time.
Going back from here on Monday, enjoy myself at Newark airport for 6-8 hours, don't remember exactly how long, and then travel for 12h, to Gothenburg. Hopefully I'll get home without the swine flu. But at the stage I'm in now - tired and worn out - I'm probably not the most immune person.... Cross your fingers. :)

I was asked for pictures..
any good reasons why I shoudn't stay here on St. Nicolas street, Manhattan?
Obviously I would be somewhat annoying for Kate and Elissa. But other than that =), I do want to stay here!!!

Do you want some more coffee, sweetheart?
I'm back in NYC after a visit to Jon in New Jersey and Tobias in Boston. New Jersey is all about commercialism and food, so we did that. =) I had a lot of fun with the two wacko fastpace-talking boys that introduced me to the core of American culture, that is WAWA and Diner pancakes. After that I felt good about myself for not having bought more than socks. But I was sort of searching for a meaning with life since spending money on food didn't do it for me.
Boston didn't really provide me with that information, but I found out I like to talk to strangers at an Hostel, and discussions about healthcare politics are not to be held in the heat. Tobias and me did go exploring Harvard, pretty but boring, and had my best lunch so far at Au Bon Pain. The second day we had enough of the city and decided to go to Rockport. Right by the sea and soooo cute! Went swimming which brought me a little closer to the meaning of life. Had ice coffee at Dunkin' and Donuts. Boy was I surprised when Tobias wanted coffee there in stead of at one of the cosy cafes in town with a ocean view. But ok, probably cheaper. And bigger. And with blueberry flavor sirup. Mums.
Now I'm in Elissa and Kate's apartment, and it feels just like home. They've moved, but still, being around them, and interact with them isn't much different from what it always been, since I started to hang out with them in 2001. We've got lot of planes, so I better get a move on. :)
